Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive technology foresight initiatives, identifying disruptive trends with 3-5 year impact horizons
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, spatial computing)
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-ready capabilities into commercial offerings
- Establish cross-functional innovation ecosystems with academic institutions and industry partners
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage a $5M+ innovation portfolio with rigorous ROI analysis
- Drive organizational culture of experimentation and calculated risk-taking
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., generative AI, biotech convergence)
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
- MBA or advanced degree in Technology/Engineering/Strategy preferred
- Experience scaling innovation teams in hyper-growth environments
- Certification in technology foresight (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Scenario Planning)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-to-present technology translation
