Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year strategic technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional discovery sprints on emerging tech (quantum, neurotech, fusion energy)
- Quantify ROI scenarios for speculative technologies using predictive analytics
- Partner with VCs to identify and acquire disruptive startups
- Present strategic frameworks to C-suite and board members
- Author annual 'Future State' industry whitepapers
- Mentor junior futurists in ethical tech deployment
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech roles with Fortune 500 scale
- Published research in Nature/Science on emerging tech
- Expertise in futures methodologies (horizon scanning, Delphi analysis)
- PhD in Computational Physics, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
- Proven track record commercializing speculative technologies
- Deep understanding of geopolitical tech policy landscapes
- Portfolio demonstrating paradigm-shifting initiatives
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python/Julia preferred)
