Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies with 5-10 year horizon planning
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype breakthrough solutions
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence for future tech landscapes
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor junior strategists and foster a culture of experimental innovation
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for future technology initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in emerging technology commercialization
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains: quantum, AI, biotech, or clean energy
- Exceptional strategic planning and scenario modeling capabilities
- Experience with international regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent preferred
- Published thought leadership in technology innovation journals
