Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and regulatory landscapes
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum computing, neural interfaces, and decentralized systems
- Conduct scenario planning for technological disruption across healthcare, energy, and finance sectors
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate future technologies into enterprise strategy
- Establish ethical frameworks for emerging tech implementation and governance
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused allocation strategies
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of radical innovation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Proven track record scaling futuristic technologies to commercial viability
- Expertise in at least three of: quantum computing, AI ethics, AR/VR, blockchain, or bio-integration
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, NSF, etc.)
- Exceptional cross-cultural communication and stakeholder management skills
