Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-year technology roadmaps targeting 2026 market opportunities
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging fields (quantum AI, neuromorphic computing, biotech interfaces)
- Secure $5M+ annual innovation budget through compelling stakeholder presentations
- Build and manage a 15-person elite innovation lab with PhD-level talent
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and global tech accelerators
- Drive patent portfolio growth (target: 15+ patents annually in frontier technologies)
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite and board members quarterly
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech innovation with 5+ years in executive leadership
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
- Proven track record of scaling technologies from concept to market leadership
- Expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, neurotech, etc.)
- Successful management of multi-million dollar R&D budgets
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE)
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python, Rust, etc.)
