Responsibilities
- Strategic Roadmapping: Define and execute the technical roadmap for Horizon Systems' AI capabilities leading up to and beyond 2026, identifying emerging trends in neural networks and generative models.
- System Architecture: Design robust, scalable, and secure AI architectures that can handle massive data streams and complex decision-making processes.
- R&D Leadership: Lead a team of research scientists and engineers in experimenting with novel algorithms, ensuring our proprietary technology remains proprietary and competitive.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, data scientists, and legal teams to integrate AI solutions that align with business goals and ethical standards.
- Future-Proofing: Assess potential risks and opportunities associated with future AI regulations and technological shifts, proposing adaptive strategies.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize model accuracy, latency, and efficiency to deliver superior user experiences.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field from a top-tier university.
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years specifically in AI/ML architecture and system design.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure).
- Strategic Mindset: Proven track record of leading high-level technical strategy and mentoring diverse engineering teams.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems with creative and scalable technical solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
