Responsibilities
- Employee Onboarding: Assist in the orientation and onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all paperwork and systems are set up correctly.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, files, and databases in compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Communication Hub: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, benefits questions, and general inquiries.
- Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of company events, team-building activities, and engagement initiatives.
- Recruitment Support: Assist the recruiting team with posting job descriptions, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Policy Management: Help update and distribute employee handbooks and internal policy documents.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people in a corporate setting.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time in our Washington, DC office.
