Responsibilities
- Support full-cycle recruitment: sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires
- Assist with employee relations: documenting incidents, conducting exit interviews, and resolving inquiries
- Maintain HRIS systems: ensure accurate data entry and compliance with federal/state regulations
- Coordinate training programs: schedule workshops, track participation, and evaluate effectiveness
- Prepare HR documentation: contracts, offer letters, and policy updates
- Support compliance initiatives: assist with EEO reporting and workplace safety audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of HR internship or administrative experience preferred
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms (Workday, BambooHR, or similar)
- Strong written communication skills for drafting policies and correspondence
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage confidential information
- Basic knowledge of DC/VA employment laws and regulations
- Proactive problem-solving approach with customer service mindset
