Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and analyze network traffic for threats
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents and document remediation actions
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Implement security protocols and compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
- Collaborate with IT teams to strengthen organizational defenses
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies
- Participate in 24/7 rotational on-call security operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Strong analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and adapt to new tools
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and reporting
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
