Responsibilities
- Process daily customer transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
- Build lasting relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and identifying their financial needs.
- Assist in the operation of the teller line, ensuring strict compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Perform daily cash balancing and end-of-day reporting duties to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and cross-sell bank products, such as certificates of deposit (CDs), IRAs, and credit cards, to meet branch goals.
- Protect the bank’s assets by adhering to security protocols and cash handling procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous cash handling or customer service experience is preferred but not required for this entry-level trainee position.
- Strong mathematical skills with a proven ability to count and balance cash with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and some evening shifts.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
