Responsibilities
- Process Customer Transactions: Accurately handle cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments while maintaining strict adherence to security protocols.
- Customer Service Excellence: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding account balances and products, and resolve issues with a positive and professional attitude.
- Cash Management: Maintain accurate daily cash drawers, balance terminals at the end of the shift, and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Product Sales & Cross-Selling: Identify customer needs and proactively recommend financial products such as savings accounts, credit cards, and personal loans.
- Operational Support: Assist in opening new accounts, processing account closures, and maintaining the lobby environment to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
- Compliance & Security: Adhere to all banking regulations, KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures, and internal audit requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in finance or business is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service, retail, or cash handling is preferred but not mandatory for the Trainee role.
- Math Skills: Strong aptitude for basic arithmetic and attention to detail is essential for balancing cash drawers.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse clientele.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by branch schedules.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen as part of the hiring process.
