Responsibilities
- Process daily customer transactions, including cash deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing, with a focus on accuracy and speed.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily settlements to ensure all funds match system records.
- Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding products and services, and refer complex issues to the appropriate department.
- Assist in opening new accounts and cross-selling bank products, such as credit cards and loans, to meet branch goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all branch security and operational policies.
- Learn and perform basic financial calculations and utilize bank software systems effectively.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; some college coursework in Finance or Business is a plus.
- Previous customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or financial services is preferred but not required for trainees.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle large sums of money with strict accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the banking schedule.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
