This role requires deep expertise in emerging AI ethics challenges, regulatory landscapes, and stakeholder engagement. You'll influence industry standards while mentoring a team of AI ethicists and compliance specialists in our dynamic Austin headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive AI ethics frameworks aligned with evolving global regulations
- Lead cross-functional audits of AI systems for bias, privacy, and security risks
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical considerations in AI development lifecycles
- Represent the organization in industry forums on responsible AI governance
- Establish KPIs for ethical AI performance and reporting mechanisms
- Mentor ethics specialists and build organizational AI literacy programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in AI Ethics, Computer Science, Philosophy, or related field
- 8+ years in AI governance, compliance, or ethics leadership roles
- Expertise in NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, and emerging regulatory frameworks
- Proven experience implementing bias mitigation techniques in production AI systems
- Strong background in stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical audiences
- Public speaking experience at AI ethics conferences or regulatory hearings
- Published research or industry contributions to responsible AI discourse
