Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical governance frameworks for AI systems deployed in 2026+ tech ecosystems
- Lead bias audits and fairness assessments across machine learning models using advanced statistical methods
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical considerations into the AI development lifecycle
- Develop industry-leading transparency protocols for autonomous decision-making systems
- Represent Nexus at global AI ethics forums and contribute to policy discussions
- Mentor junior engineers on responsible AI development practices
- Conduct scenario planning for emerging ethical challenges in AI deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years in AI ethics
- Expertise in fairness metrics, bias mitigation, and explainable AI (XAI) techniques
- Proven track record of implementing ethical AI frameworks in production environments
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Strong programming skills in Python with experience in ML frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex ethical concepts
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in agile environments
- Published research in AI ethics or related field preferred
