Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) with 3-5 year impact projections
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-ready capabilities into development pipelines
- Present compelling future-state scenarios to executive stakeholders and investors
- Build and maintain a global network of technology innovators and research institutions
- Author thought leadership pieces on technological disruption and adaptation strategies
- Mentor cross-functional teams in future-thinking methodologies and innovation frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of anticipating market shifts and influencing product roadmaps
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI/ML, quantum, AR/VR, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Advanced degree in technology, business, or futures studies preferred
- Experience with scenario planning, trend analysis, and technology forecasting models
- Portfolio of published futurist work or strategic technology recommendations
- Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in fast-paced innovation environments
