Responsibilities
- Architect and operationalize the 2026 innovation roadmap through scenario planning and horizon scanning
- Lead cross-functional initiatives in quantum-resistant cryptography, neuro-adjacent interfaces, and decentralized autonomous systems
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and DARPA-funded research consortia
- Develop patent portfolios and intellectual property strategies for next-gen technologies
- Present foresight frameworks to the board of directors and executive steering committees
- Mentor a team of innovation specialists in emerging technology adoption methodologies
- Author thought leadership publications on industry disruption vectors
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or Computational Science
- Minimum 8 years in strategic innovation roles within Fortune 500 tech/energy sectors
- Proven expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or AI governance
- Certification in Foresight Methodology (ACF or similar) preferred
- Published research on technology adoption curves or exponential innovation
- Experience with DARPA or NSF grant frameworks and defense innovation ecosystems
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes for frontier technologies
- Portfolio demonstrating successful translation of foresight into commercial ventures
