Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research on exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal trends through 2026
- Develop and publish annual Future State Reports with predictive insights and strategic recommendations
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype solutions for 2026-era challenges
- Partner with product teams to embed future-proof principles into development lifecycles
- Represent company at global futurism forums (e.g., Singularity University, World Future Society)
- Mentor internal 'Future Scouts' program to cultivate organizational foresight capabilities
- Advise board on long-term R&D allocation based on 5-10 year trend analysis
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial opportunities
- Deep expertise in at least two exponential technology domains (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Published thought leadership on future-of-work or future-of-industry topics
- Experience leading cross-geographical teams with diverse technical backgrounds
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
