Responsibilities
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech) through 2026
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with 15+ engineers and scientists
- Analyze market trends and regulatory landscapes to identify disruptive opportunities
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Secure $5M+ in government grants and private funding for future-tech projects
- Mentor junior strategists and foster innovation through hackathons and R&D sprints
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, or sustainable tech
- Proven track record of securing $1M+ in research funding or grants
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Strong network with academic and industry tech innovation leaders
