Job Description
Welcome to the vanguard of computational evolution. Chronos Quantum Systems is seeking a visionary Senior Quantum Algorithm Engineer to join our elite 2026 Roadmap Team. We are building the architecture that will redefine the limits of processing power, enabling breakthroughs in cryptography, material science, and artificial general intelligence.
As a key contributor, you will bridge the gap between theoretical quantum mechanics and practical, scalable software solutions. You will work in a high-performance environment where curiosity meets code, and where your work will directly impact the global technological landscape of the next decade.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum circuits and algorithms to solve complex, multi-variable problems with exponential speedups over classical computing.
- Develop and implement fault-tolerant quantum error correction protocols to ensure system stability and data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams of physicists, software developers, and hardware engineers to integrate quantum logic into broader software architectures.
- Conduct rigorous performance benchmarking and analysis of quantum workloads on our proprietary quantum processors.
- Translate abstract quantum theoretical models into production-ready Python and C++ libraries.
- Mentor junior engineers and researchers in quantum best practices and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Information Science.
- Proven experience (3+ years) developing quantum algorithms using frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or Pennylane.
- Deep understanding of quantum computing architectures, qubit gate models, and superposition principles.
- Expert proficiency in Python (NumPy, SciPy) and a strong grasp of classical algorithmic complexity.
- Experience with quantum machine learning (QML) or quantum simulation is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, experimental environments.
