Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year innovation roadmaps targeting 2026+ technological and market inflection points
- Lead scenario planning and horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging risks and opportunities
- Architect strategic frameworks for adoption of breakthrough technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Present executive-level foresight briefings to board members and C-suite stakeholders
- Establish and manage a global network of futurist thought partners and academic collaborators
- Drive innovation portfolio allocation across R&D, M&A, and venture capital channels
- Publish proprietary research and whitepapers positioning Horizon as the 2026 innovation authority
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or future-focused consulting
- Proven track record of developing and implementing multi-year innovation strategies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum, biotech, AI, space)
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and board-level audiences
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Published author or keynote speaker at global innovation forums
- Proficiency in strategic foresight methodologies (Delphi, STEEP, causal layered analysis)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across technology, business, and design domains
