Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-corrected quantum architectures scalable to 1000+ qubits
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum machine learning applications
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-coherent systems
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum theory and experimental protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware research
- Published work in Nature/Science or IEEE Quantum journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, topology, and computational complexity
- Experience securing SBIR grants or corporate R&D funding
