Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to characterize and improve superconducting qubit performance
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects translating quantum theory into practical solutions
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure intellectual property through patent development and trade secret protection
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Published research in quantum computing algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Quil)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance architectures
- Experience with low-temperature quantum hardware systems (preferred)
- Strong track record of securing research grants or industry partnerships
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
