Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop error-correction techniques to advance quantum coherence beyond current limits
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and contribute to our quantum education initiatives
- Collaborate with product teams to commercialize quantum computing solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published 10+ papers in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with superconducting qubits or ion trap systems
- Proven ability to secure federal and corporate research funding
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with complex mathematical systems
