Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Mentor PhD researchers and manage cross-functional project teams
- Develop patentable quantum solutions for commercial applications
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with publications in Nature/Science
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Proven track record of securing research grants ($500k+)
- Strong background in quantum cryptography and information theory
- Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
