Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with physicists to translate theoretical models into executable quantum circuits
- Optimize quantum gate operations on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Lead quantum software development using Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Document quantum system architectures and performance metrics
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum computing principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming languages
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (Rigetti, IBM Quantum, etc.)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Track record of delivering complex technical projects
- Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
