Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding documentation
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Facilitate new hire orientations and employee engagement initiatives across all departments
- Administer benefits programs including enrollment changes, open enrollment support, and 401(k) assistance
- Handle employee relations inquiries and resolve workplace conflicts with discretion
- Prepare HR reports, performance metrics, and compliance documentation for leadership
- Support payroll processing coordination and time-off management systems
- Collaborate with department managers on staffing needs and talent development programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of HR coordination or administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, BambooHR) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of FLSA, EEOC, and Maryland employment regulations
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Organizational mastery with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities
- Certified HR Associate (aPHR) or SHRM-CP preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings for events
