Job Description
Are you ready to architect the future of intelligence? Nexus Horizon is seeking a visionary Lead AI Architect to spearhead the development of next-generation artificial general intelligence (AGI) systems targeted for deployment in 2026. As we bridge the gap between today's machine learning and tomorrow's sentient systems, we need a technical leader who isn't just building software—they are building the foundation of the digital world.
In this role, you will lead a world-class team of researchers and engineers, defining the architectural paradigms that will power autonomous agents, cognitive computing, and ethical AI ecosystems. If you are obsessed with scalability, deep learning architectures, and the ethical implications of AI, we want to hear from you.
Why Nexus Horizon?
We are not just a tech company; we are the architects of the 2026 vision. We offer competitive equity, a remote-first culture, and the resources to push the boundaries of what is possible.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the core architectural framework for AGI systems, ensuring scalability, robustness, and safety.
- Lead a high-performing cross-functional team of data scientists, ML engineers, and researchers.
- Oversee the integration of cutting-edge neural architectures, including Transformers, Graph Neural Networks, and reinforcement learning models.
- Establish best practices for MLOps, model governance, and ethical AI deployment to mitigate bias and ensure transparency.
- Collaborate with product leadership to translate complex AI capabilities into tangible, user-centric solutions.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews, technical architecture reviews, and mentorship for junior engineers.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field with a focus on AI/ML.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and machine learning, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership or architectural role.
- Deep expertise in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and distributed systems.
- Proven track record of deploying large-scale AI models that handle billions of parameters.
- Strong understanding of NLP, Computer Vision, or Reinforcement Learning.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for the future of AI and a commitment to building safe, beneficial technology.
