Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork, orientation schedules, and introduction to company culture.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist with payroll processing by verifying timekeeping data and preparing required reports.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, answering questions, and resolving enrollment issues.
- Support recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews, screening candidates, and coordinating candidate travel.
- Prepare HR-related correspondence, policy updates, and newsletters.
- Conduct basic research on employment laws to support decision-making within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience in an administrative role).
- 0-2 years of experience in an HR or administrative capacity is preferred, but we are open to training the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS software (e.g., BambooHR, Workday) is a plus.
- Must be currently located in Long Beach, CA.
