Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives for 2026 technology horizons including quantum AI integration and sustainable computing systems
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, bio-digital interfaces)
- Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify disruptive opportunities
- Present technology strategies to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Manage $15M+ innovation budgets and vendor partnerships for cutting-edge solutions
- Mentor technical teams on future technology adoption and implementation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven 5-year horizon planning experience
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech, or climate tech)
- Track record of launching commercialized technologies with $10M+ revenue impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong proficiency in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Experience securing patents for disruptive innovations
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
