Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum AI, neuro-interfaces, synthetic biology)
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and designers in prototyping next-gen systems
- Analyze global tech trends and competitive landscapes to identify strategic opportunities
- Secure $50M+ in R&D funding through visionary proposals and stakeholder presentations
- Establish ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-machine symbiosis
- Drive innovation through hackathons, patent portfolios, and academic partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Bioengineering, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in scaling disruptive technologies from concept to commercialization
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, gene editing)
- Exceptional strategic planning and systems thinking abilities
- Experience securing federal grants or venture capital for advanced R&D
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Innovation Management preferred
