Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with organizational vision for 2026 and beyond
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Establish KPIs for emerging technology adoption and ROI measurement
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage technology partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Anticipate regulatory and ethical implications of emerging technologies
- Build and mentor a high-performing innovation strategy team
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation management
- Proven track record of scaling emerging technologies in Fortune 500 environments
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business (PhD preferred)
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging technology domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Experience developing multi-year technology roadmaps with measurable outcomes
- Certification in Innovation Management or Strategic Foresight (e.g., CFIP, CPSM)
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across executive levels
- Published thought leadership in technology strategy or innovation journals
