Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology strategy aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating emerging technologies (quantum, AR/VR, biotech)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive innovations with 2026 commercialization potential
- Establish strategic partnerships with academia, startups, and industry leaders
- Present technology roadmaps to C-suite and board members with clear ROI projections
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget and vendor ecosystem for emerging tech
- Drive ethical AI frameworks and responsible innovation practices
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology roles with 5+ in executive leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum, AR/VR, advanced AI, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching products with 2026+ market impact
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience managing innovation portfolios with $10M+ budgets
- Strong network in Silicon Valley and global tech ecosystems
- Certified in emerging tech frameworks (e.g., IEEE Foresight, Gartner Hype Cycle)
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
