Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 2026 technology roadmaps for AI, quantum, and biotech integration
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with 15+ engineers and scientists
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with global impact assessment
- Present strategic recommendations to the board and executive stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
- Partner with sustainability teams to ensure eco-conscious tech deployment
- Author thought leadership publications on future tech trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy or emerging technologies with 3+ at director level
- Expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, or advanced materials science
- Proven track record of launching tech products with 7-figure revenue impact
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong presentation skills with executive-level experience
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies preferred
- Ability to secure federal/state innovation grants a plus
