Responsibilities
- Accurately process customer transactions, including cash deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing, ensuring strict adherence to compliance policies.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to resolve inquiries, resolve account issues, and promote a positive banking experience.
- Manage cash drawers with precision, balancing daily reports and ensuring accurate auditing of cash on hand at the end of each shift.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and recommend financial products, such as savings accounts, CDs, and credit cards, to meet customer needs.
- Assist in opening new accounts and maintaining accurate customer records in the banking software system.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to all security and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required; some college or finance-related coursework is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience in a retail or financial environment is highly desirable.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations quickly and accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by branch needs.
