Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately and efficiently handle daily customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments.
- Manage Cash: Maintain accurate daily balances of cash drawers and reconcile daily settlements to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Drive Sales: Proactively identify and cross-sell bank products, such as savings accounts, CDs, and credit cards, to meet branch sales goals.
- Customer Engagement: Provide exceptional face-to-face service, greeting customers warmly and resolving account inquiries with patience and professionalism.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to bank security policies, Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures.
- Problem Solving: Assist in resolving account discrepancies and refer complex customer issues to supervisors for timely resolution.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field is preferred.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in customer service, retail, or cash handling is preferred; previous banking experience is a significant plus.
- Math Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to perform mental math quickly and accurately.
- Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new banking software and point-of-sale systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-first attitude.
- Availability: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
