Responsibilities
- Process daily financial transactions including cashing checks, processing deposits, and loan payments accurately and efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to resolve inquiries and explain banking products.
- Balance daily cash drawers and reconcile transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with bank policies.
- Open new accounts for customers, including savings and checking accounts, and explain necessary documentation.
- Assist in cross-selling bank products such as credit cards, loans, and safe deposit boxes to meet branch goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring adherence to all security and safety protocols.
- Learn and operate standard banking software and ATMs under supervision.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or coursework in finance is a plus.
- Previous customer service or cash handling experience is preferred but not required for the Trainee role.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass a background check and credit check as part of the hiring process.
