As a key member of our Future Governance Council, you'll collaborate with quantum computing researchers, neuro-engineers, and policy experts to develop preemptive ethical guidelines for emerging technologies. This role offers the unique opportunity to influence global standards while working in our state-of-the-art San Francisco headquarters overlooking the Bay Bridge.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical governance frameworks for AI systems deployed in healthcare, autonomous vehicles, and climate modeling
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify ethical risks in next-gen neural interfaces and quantum AI applications
- Develop real-time monitoring protocols for algorithmic bias in predictive analytics platforms
- Author white papers on AI ethics for publication in Nature Technology and IEEE journals
- Advocate for ethical AI standards before international regulatory bodies including the UN AI Advisory Board
- Mentor junior researchers through our Future Ethics Fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Philosophy, Computer Science, or Ethics with specialization in AI governance
- 5+ years experience developing ethical frameworks for machine learning systems
- Published research in top-tier journals on algorithmic transparency or explainable AI
- Proficiency in conducting ethical impact assessments for autonomous systems
- Deep understanding of global AI regulations (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, China's AI Ethics Guidelines)
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams including neuroscientists and policy experts
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python/R preferred) for ethical auditing
