Responsibilities
- Architect and implement the 2026 technology vision roadmap with measurable KPIs
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging fields (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, biotech interfaces)
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive technologies with 5-10 year impact
- Develop ethical frameworks for next-generation AI and automation systems
- Present future technology scenarios to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor cross-functional innovation teams through agile development cycles
- Secure and manage R&D budgets exceeding $15M annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Published research in IEEE or Nature on future technology trends
- Proven track record of launching commercialized innovations
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Deep understanding of quantum computing, AI ethics, and sustainable tech
- Executive-level presentation skills with Fortune 500 experience
- Patent portfolio or significant industry recognition preferred
