Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' incubating breakthrough innovations in neuromorphic engineering
- Establish strategic partnerships with DARPA, CERN, and frontier research institutions
- Develop patent portfolios for next-gen human-machine interfaces and decentralized AI systems
- Mentor a team of PhD researchers in emerging fields like synthetic consciousness
- Present technological forecasts to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Author white papers influencing global tech policy and standards development
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or related field with 10+ years R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching technologies with $100M+ market impact
- Deep expertise in at least three of: quantum machine learning, post-silicon computing, or neuro-symbolic AI
- Published in Nature/Science with >500 citations in computational futurism
- Experience securing government grants (DARPA, NSF) totaling >$20M
- Fluency in at least one quantum programming language (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Portfolio of 5+ patented technologies with commercial deployment
