Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum computing research roadmap for 2026-2028
- Lead development of novel quantum algorithms with practical commercial applications
- Collaborate with government agencies and Fortune 500 partners on national quantum initiatives
- Oversee integration of quantum-classical hybrid systems in production environments
- Mentor next-generation quantum researchers through our fellowship program
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with peer-reviewed publications
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ limitations
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE)
