Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify paradigm-shifting technologies and societal shifts affecting 2026+
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks to model future states for business continuity and competitive advantage
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate foresight into strategic roadmaps and R&D priorities
- Design and facilitate immersive foresight workshops with global stakeholders to co-create future visions
- Produce actionable reports and visualizations translating complex futures into strategic imperatives
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and domain experts
- Champion innovation culture by mentoring teams in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or equivalent with 7+ years applied experience
- Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic foresight methodologies for Fortune 500 organizations
- Expertise in emerging technologies: AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, AR/VR, and decentralized systems
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into compelling narratives that drive executive action
- Deep understanding of geopolitical, economic, and environmental megatrends shaping 2026+
- Certified in foresight methodologies (e.g., Shell's Two Loops, Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful futures projects with measurable business impact
