Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year strategic foresight frameworks for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, climate engineering)
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' prototyping sessions with NASA, MIT, and UN partners
- Author quarterly 'Horizon Scan' reports for C-suite and board stakeholders
- Architect ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and biotech innovations
- Mentor junior futurists through our 'Temporal Thinking' certification program
- Secure $5M+ in future-focused grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, R&D leadership, or emerging tech consulting
- Published work in peer-reviewed futures studies journals (e.g., Technological Forecasting)
- Expertise in scenario planning methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning)
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ implemented future-focused initiatives
- Security clearance or willingness to obtain (Level 5)
- Fluency in at least one future-speculative language (e.g., Python, R)
