Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+ markets
- Develop quantitative and qualitative foresight frameworks for scenario planning and risk mitigation
- Design and execute immersive trend forecasting workshops for executive leadership teams
- Author strategic whitepapers and thought leadership on future-proofing business models
- Partner with R&D to integrate foresight into innovation pipelines and product roadmaps
- Build and maintain proprietary trend intelligence databases using AI-enhanced analytics
- Represent the organization at global futurist conferences and industry forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future studies with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven expertise in exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing, neurotech)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Mastery of forecasting methodologies (Delphi, causal layered analysis, cross-impact matrices)
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to translate complex futures into executive narratives
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed futurist or business journals
- Proficiency in foresight platforms (e.g., Kumu, Trendalyzer) and data visualization tools
