Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify and analyze emerging technologies, socioeconomic shifts, and disruptive business models relevant to 2026+
- Develop and present strategic foresight frameworks including scenario planning, trend impact assessments, and innovation roadmaps
- Collaborate with R&D, product, and executive teams to integrate foresight insights into corporate strategy and investment decisions
- Design and facilitate innovation workshops using futures literacy methodologies to build organizational foresight capabilities
- Author thought leadership publications and white papers on emerging trends, positioning our company as a thought leader in strategic foresight
- Establish and maintain relationships with academic institutions, research labs, and futurist communities to stay ahead of paradigm shifts
- Quantify future risks and opportunities through data modeling and simulation techniques
- Mentor junior strategists in futures research methodologies and critical thinking
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Strategic Foresight, Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
- 7+ years of professional experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futures research with Fortune 500 or high-growth tech companies
- Proven expertise in foresight methodologies including horizon scanning, scenario planning, and Delphi techniques
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, neurotech) and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling and visualization skills to communicate complex future scenarios to diverse stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in reputable futures/innovation journals or major industry platforms
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through strategic transformation initiatives
- Portfolio demonstrating successful foresight projects that influenced business outcomes
