In this pivotal role, you will lead the technical strategy for our Games Operations Center, optimizing cloud environments, enhancing security protocols, and driving automation to support the largest sporting event in the world.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab to support high-velocity software delivery.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and security compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate deployment processes and reduce time-to-market for critical applications.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive incident response strategies to minimize downtime during peak events.
- Drive the modernization of legacy on-premise systems by developing hybrid cloud strategies.
- Establish best practices for containerization using Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to protect sensitive athlete and spectator data.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related technical role.
- Expert proficiency in AWS or Azure, with deep knowledge of VPCs, EC2, S3, and Lambda.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with scripting and automation languages (Python, Bash, or Go).
- Proven track record of managing high-traffic, mission-critical systems under pressure.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and version control systems like Git.
