Responsibilities
- Lead R&D Strategy: Define and execute the technical roadmap for the Year 2026 Initiative, focusing on advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) and multi-modal learning models.
- Model Architecture: Design, prototype, and optimize deep learning architectures that exceed current state-of-the-art performance benchmarks.
- Team Mentorship: Guide a team of junior data scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, rigorous testing, and scientific excellence.
- Publication & Thought Leadership: Author high-impact research papers for top-tier conferences and contribute to the academic discourse surrounding AGI safety and alignment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, ethics boards, and external partners, to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with our mission.
- Prioritization: Balance high-level conceptual research with hands-on implementation, making critical decisions on resource allocation for high-impact projects.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field from a top-tier institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in research roles within the tech industry or top-tier academic laboratories.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and experience with distributed training frameworks. Deep understanding of transformer architectures, reinforcement learning, and large language models.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle unsolved problems and navigate ambiguity in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile Mindset: Proven track record of shipping production-level AI systems and iterating rapidly based on feedback and data.
