Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum annealing systems with 1000+ qubit stability
- Develop cryogenic control interfaces for superconducting processors
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant operations
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum acceleration into machine learning pipelines
- Lead cross-functional prototyping sessions with materials science and cryptography divisions
- Document quantum system architectures in compliance with NIST quantum security standards
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum hardware-software co-design principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years hands-on work with superconducting qubit systems or ion traps
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and RF control systems
- Deep understanding of Shor's algorithm and quantum supremacy applications
- Strong Python/C++ skills with low-level hardware integration experience
