Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Optimize qubit coherence times in superconducting and trapped-ion systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with machine learning teams on hybrid quantum-classical models
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum assembly language (QASM)
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum development frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithm optimization
- Experience with low-temperature quantum hardware operations
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- US citizenship required for government contract compliance
