Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and machine learning
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance on superconducting platforms
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop error correction methodologies for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from federal agencies and private foundations
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave) and simulation tools
