Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex computational problems
- Conduct experimental validation using 50+ qubit quantum processors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop quantum-resistant security protocols
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and lead quantum computing workshops
- Identify commercial applications for emerging quantum technologies
- Secure grant funding through government and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Proficiency in Python and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex concepts
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government projects
